Playing devil’s advocate, I am all for dictatorship as a way of power. It is feasible, if done right, and might be the only way of achieving some semblance of utopia, at least temporarily.
It can be very efficient and effective for accomplishing something. The system in a critical condition cannot be fixed over many generations — no real progress will be done, as it will gradually revert back to where it was, as key figures of the positive change movement will die long before the goals will be actually achieved.
There are times to be lenient and play democracy, and there are times to have some concrete leader figure, and make some radical changes.
Key example — anti-slave movement in US history. If there was no radical advocation for the slavery to be abolished, but a passive one instead…. well, the whole ordeal would be placed in a distant folder and we might not have seen it happening before much much later in history.
BUT that dictator must be a true visionary, which does things for the greater good, has some decent plan of actions, which are sound and reasonable.
Claiming that, of all people, Trump is that somebody…. that is just blasphemy.
Even more so — using force consisting of average, misguided citizens to achieve that turnover is just wrong. All we ended up was a bunch of clueless idiots being harmful to others as they were to themselves. It is terrible in a sense that it could even happen, but the realization that there were so many such people for it to happen is even more tragic. Really speaks volumes about the state of the country there.
