Republicans Seriously Think Trump Lost the Election Because of a Lab Leak Coverup That They Invented : politics

The hypothesis that it leaked from a lab was always plausible. I don’t believe a single person in the media or government said that’s not what happened.

The idea that it was leaked from a lab purposefully, that it was man-made, and genetically manipulated to be a bio weapon… That is what was dismissed. The same people who were trying to scream from the rooftops that it was very likely that it came from a lab were also at the same time claiming without any evidence that it was done on purpose with a virus that was manipulated and weaponized.

That is what the media and experts pushed back on.

And the reason the lab hypothesis wasn’t being reported on constantly is because there’s no evidence of it, just a lot of conjecture, some of it valid, but the only people that wanted to talk about the origins of the virus during the middle of a death-wave were the people trying to gin up anti China sentiment to help their reelection. 3000 people a day were dying, China wasn’t telling us anything, there was no reason to pursue the lab leak theory in the media during the height of the devastation other than to distract from the handling of the current emergency.

It was the equivalent of screaming that you want to figure out who the driver was in a hit and run, while the victim is lying on the ground bleeding and begging for an ambulance.
