Cooling Inflation Ignites Momentum: Nasdaq Stabilizes as Breakout Candidates Emerge

By Allstocksnews

A cooler-than-expected CPI print on Thursday gave markets exactly what they needed: breathing room. Inflation easing helped calm macro anxiety, and by Friday we saw a broad re-engagement with momentum. Several high-beta names pushed decisively higher, with individual gains ranging from a couple of dollars to more than $30—most notably Lumentum.

It’s been a difficult tape to navigate in recent weeks, and holding cash has remained the most rational default posture. That said, a handful of positions have quietly begun to work. Meta Platforms has rallied roughly $53 from its most recent tactical buy area, while ProShares Ultra Silver ETF is up about $37 from its latest entry.

Looking ahead, there are early signs that select stocks are repairing technical damage. If the Nasdaq can continue to respect its long-term rising trendline, this environment could start to generate a new wave of tactical buy opportunities.

To frame the setup properly, we’ll start with the chart that matters most right now: the Invesco QQQ Trust.
